Fevered Spring

A fever can provide a wellspring of ideas. I had such a fever years back, up all night, looking at all the man made squares around me and knowing it was all wrong. My bed, the sheets, the windows, the walls, the panels of the door. Perhaps, this sculpture can provide a remedy of sorts. Each coil of clay individually hand rolled. Multiple layers of paint hand brushed. From afar, it might appear simply a brightly colored square. Up close, all the details of the hand become at once apparent.
